A taste of India: Tandoori Chicken Thighs

Tandoori chicken is a dish originating in the Indian subcontinent. It is widely popular in South Asia particularly Indiaand Pakistan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Western world. It consists of roasted chickenprepared with yogurt and spices. The name comes from the type of cylindrical clay oven, a tandoor, in which the dish is traditionally prepared.

Tandoori Chicken Thighs
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Bake: At 400 degree F. for 40 minutes
Cook: 20 minutes
Ingredients
Chicken 1 tablespoon chopped gingerroot 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon curry powder 2 cloves garlic, chopped 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper 4 large bone-in chicken thighs (about 1 1/2 pounds), skin removed
Lentils 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 medium onion, peeled and chopped 3 cloves garlic, chopped 1 cup yellow lentils 1 tablespoon chopped gingerroot 1 teaspoon curry powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 pound red Swiss chard, cut into 1-inch slices, tough stems removed
